少数民族地区的民族文化传承和教育的关系主要表现为民族文化传承对教育的影响、教育对民族文化传承的影响及二者的交互作用。民族文化传承对教育的影响主要表现为增加知识与技能、影响智力与非智力因素、培养民族意识和民族精神以及对教育内容和途径的制约;教育对民族文化传承的影响主要表现为促进民族文化的心理传承、促进民族文化的保存、积淀和选择以及对民族文化传承质量和水平的制约。教育在一定程度上是民族文化传承的产物,又是民族文化传承的一个动因;民族文化传承是教育的目标之一,又服务于教育的目标。

The relationship between the ethnic cultural inheritance and education in the minority areas finds expression in their mutual influence and interaction.The influence of the ethnic cultural inheritance on education is related to the teaching of knowledge and skills,the intellectual and non-intellectual factors,the enhancement of the national consciousness and spirit and the control of the education content and channels.The influence of education on the ethnic cultural inheritance is related to the fostering of the psychological inheritance of ethnic cultures,the better protection and selection of the ethnic cultures and the control of the quality and quantity of the ethnic cultures.Education in a certain sense is a product and a motive force of the inheritance of ethnic cultures,while the inheritance of ethnic cultures is one goal of education while serving its goal.
